Amarone della Valpolicella

Notes of sweet oak, chocolate, tobacco, ripe cherry, and plum. Warm and ripe on the nose, intense and greatly refined.

A feat in winemaking. "Amarone" means "great bitter/dry one." Robust dried cherry and plum flavors. Full-bodied, complex, and velvety with soft acids and tannins. Grapes rest on drying racks, called "appassimento."

Veal, beef, game, and matyre cheese. Excellent a er dinner wine. From its complex winemaking technique, Amarone is an unexpectedly versatile pairing partner for many foods.
