Gigi Rosso

Barbera d’ Asti

Barbera

Nose

The color is deep purple and the scent releases notes of composed fruit, especially cassis, black cherry, raspberry, and plum followed by spicy hints of cloves, anise, lavender, and vanilla.

Tasting Notes

Barbera is very generous on the palate. Warm and syrupy with ripe fruit. Its exuberance is resolved in remarkable harmony with a pleasant finish of sweet licorice. High acidity, refreshing, zesty, low tannins, smooth, easy-drinking.

Pairing

Pasta, veal, pork, game, poultry, salmon, lobster, along with dishes with cream or oil-based sauces, and mushroom risotto.
